Nyesom Wike, The former governor of Rivers State, stated on Wednesday that Siminalayi Fubara's impeachment would not be illegal.
On Thursday, Rivers-based activist Jake Epelle stated that former governor Nyesom Wike and his supporters in the state House of Assembly will not be able to successfully impeach his successor, Siminalayi Fubara. Epelle stated that Wike cannot support impeachment of the current governor of the oil-rich state while simultaneously advocating for peace. “Let them go and try impeachment, they will not succeed,

” Epelle said on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief show.
Fubara will not be impeached. Because he hasn't done anything that could lead to his impeachment, I say that out loud on national television. He has the support of the people, so there will be no impeachment. “Will anything happen if he is impeached?
