APC chairman in Rivers State, Chief Tony Okocha has called on Governor Siminalayi Fubara to resign within 48 hours or face impeachment.
On Monday, Mr Okocha posed a threat at a press conference in Port Harcourt.
Okocha described the governor's invitation to a member of the River House of Representatives.
He said Fubara knew that Congress would sit on March 10 before inviting her to debate over the Supreme Court decision.
He explained that Fubara invited lawmakers to discuss their compensation.
Okocha said Fubrala had no right to invite lawmakers to discuss the Supreme Court decision, as they should provide the budget. He said the governor ignored President Bora Tinubu's eight-point agenda for peace.
"We ask Governor Fubara to either resign within 48 hours or provide an office investigation. The Supreme Court results are enough to retreat. He is already sitting on a keg of gunpowder powder," Okocha said.
