Gov. Fubara Denied Access To River State Assembly Complex.

On Wednesday, Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara was denied access to the state House of Assembly's official quarters along Aba Road in Port Harcourt, where lawmakers who were loyal to his predecessor Nyesom Wike have been meeting.

Gov. Fubara, who was accompanied at the complex by high-ranking government officials, including Dr. Edison Ehie, his Chief of Staff, and Tammy Danagogo encountered a locked gate, effectively preventing his entry.

'' The governor stated that several calls made to Speaker Martin Amaewhule went unanswered, and he made the statement known  to journalists who were present at the scene. He stated, "I made multiple attempts to speak with the Speaker before I arrived here." I also sent a letter that was sent specifically for this invitation. Unfortunately, the location is completely sealed at the gate, and there is no indication that anything will occur today.

The governor reaffirmed his commitment to carrying out his constitutional responsibilities and insisted that his actions were in the best interest of the people. “I have always maintained that the most important factor is the interest of our people, which is why we are doing this. There seems to be nothing to be concerned about. He added, "I anticipate hearing from them after today." The governor and his entourage left the premises after speaking to the media.
