Reno Omokri, former presidential aide, has slammed 2023Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, over his absence at the burial of late former President Muhammadu Buhari, who died on Sunday.
President Bola Tinubu led a high-level federal government delegation that included Vice President Kashim Shettima, to Buhari’s burial ceremony, which was also attended by many state governors and former public officials in Daura, Katsina State.
Obi was noticeably missing.
Omokri who is an avid critic of Obi thereafter took to his official X account on Tuesday night to slam the former governor of Anambra State for not attending Buhari’s burial.
“President Bola Tinubu spent the entirety of his time in Daura, demonstrating his personal devotion to General Muhammadu Buhari and his dedication to the North. Arewa, remember who was not there!,” Omokri wrote.
Omokri asserts that in 2027, Nigeria will require a genuine Nigerian president in Aso Rock rather than a pretender whose true allegiance lies elsewhere.
