Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, criticized the South-East region's security issues.
Mr. Igbokwe falsely attributed the killing of innocent igbos to Fulani herdsmen, but they insisted that some regional criminals were to blame. The comments were made by the APC chieftain on Thursday in a Facebook post, where he claimed that the South-East's recent string of murders and destruction was not caused by outsiders.
Igbokwe cautioned local residents and politicians against using ethnic scapegoating as cover. "The blatant and pathological lies about the killings and destruction in the South East can no longer stand," he declared.

“Igbo people are destroying Igboland and killing Igbo people, and they blame Hausa/Fulani herdsmen. This is not our way of life. Sad is this. “Since 2015 politicians in the SE have been using these gunmen to win elections, they use them to fight their opponents, they use them settle family disputes, they use to grab other people’s lands, they use them as security personnel.
They get paid. “The five governors of the South-East know what to do to put an end to the criminals in the area and restore order.
