Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has boldly declared that he has no real opponents in the governorship election on November 8, 2025.
At an endorsement rally in Awka on Saturday, Soludo insisted that the majority of those running against him are individuals seeking financial support rather than serious candidates.
Soludo made the following statement: "I don't know who else is contesting this election, but we heard that some people are contesting, though we don't know who they are."
Following a previous major endorsement for Soludo in Anambra North, stakeholders from the Anambra Central Senatorial Zone organized the rally. He emphasised that his candidacy aligns with the zoning tradition in the state and warned that disrupting the sequence would unfairly extend the South’s hold on power.
“The turn of the Central will be delayed if anyone else from the South ascends to power, where he will remain for eight years. Therefore, he stated, "Central can take their turn, so four more years for Soludo is better than eight years for anyone else."
Additionally, Soludo stated, "You have not seen anything yet." when announcing his official move into the brand-new Anambra Light House City. We have more Anambra people in line. Community leaders, legislators, students, and market participants all showed their support for Soludo's reelection campaign at the rally.
