Alhaji Aminu Dantata's burial has been scheduled for Tuesday in Medina, Saudi Arabia, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Minister of Information, Muhammad Idris, made the announcement in a statement. He said that the businessman's body had arrived in Medina too late for his burial date.
Speaking to BBC Hausa service, the Minister explained that there are rules and regulations upon which the Saudi Arabian Government receive corpses from outside its country and they are now aligning with those regulations to complete the arrangement.
The minister said that by Tuesday, they would have completed all of the legal requirements, and Dantata would be buried on the same day. Along with Muhammadu Sanusi II, the 16th Emir of Kano, and Ali Saad Birnin Kudu, the former Governor of Jigawa State, the Governors of Kano and Jigawa States are already in Medina for the funeral.
