The entire structure of Labour Party in Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State, has been dissolved and integrated into African Democratic Congress (ADC).
GLOBALGISTZNG reports that the development was announced during an expanded stakeholders’ meeting held on Saturday, at the local government.
The party noted that the decision was made, after weeks of consultations and reflection on the current state of the nation.
In the meantime, a communiqué that was distributed following the meeting stated that the mass defection was a daring and strategic decision that was motivated by a shared determination to save Nigeria from the ongoing hardship and failed governance under the federal administration led by the All Progressives Congress.
The decision to collapse the Labour Party structure into the ADC in Ogbadibo LGA is a result of deep reflection and collective willpower,” reads one portion of the communiqué. “We believe the ADC offers a more people-oriented, transparent, and progressive political alternative.
The collective resolve to rescue Nigeria from the failed leadership and widespread hardship caused by the APC-led administration is the source of this bold and strategic decision."
