To stop the Sit-at-Home orders on Monday, the Anambra State Police Command increased patrols in the Nnewi and Ihiala regions. During the patrol, authorities urged residents to commit to protecting their lives and property without fear.
In a statement Monday, police spokesman Tochukwu Ikenga said the combined security teams conducted the patrol.
The team included the police, the Army (from Artillery Regiment 302).
Marines, Ministry of Civics, Nigerian Corps and Civil Protection Corps, Nigerian Immigration Bureau, Anambra State Vigilante Group.

He said: “On Monday, April 7, 2025, the state police increased security patrols, especially in the states of Nnewi and Ihiala, fighting sit-ins on Monday, encouraging residents without fear of legitimate business.
"The purpose of this movement is to check all disadvantages in the area. Security patrols have been on security and operational armored vehicles that have been intentionally driven to encourage business owners and residents to deal with legitimate activities.
