Police Have Rejected Reports Of The Herdsmen Invasion Of Eha-Amufu And Claimed It Was All False In Enugu.

 


The commander of Enugu State Police has published an online report claiming that the herdsmen are overrunning Eha Amhu's home and schools, and described it as "basically, mischievous and misleading."

 Sp Daniel Ndukwe, a declaration signed by police officers, issued an order that the community is not in Eha-Amufu or part of Enugu state. It was also described as a "patient agricultural settlement"  as a temporary accommodation used by farmers returning to the village regularly. The explanation also said that the joint security operation has restored region peace and stability in Eha Amhu in 2021 and 2022.

 Police Command has acknowledged the "intentional and intensive intervention" of the state of Enugu State to enhance safety under Governor Peter Ndubui Mba. These initiatives include: Uses 150 soldiers and special equipment units. Construction of the nearly completed 21.7 km Agape-Agu Mgbuji-ogbete Access Road, improving community security and connectivity.


 Police also criticized the media that released the report and accused the public of using unrelated images of irritating the public. Forensic digital analysis showed that the images used in reports of incidents in neighboring states, including photographs of Amnesty International, were converted from incidents in neighboring countries, including Amnesty International, following the attack on the  Nkalaeha a community. 

 Police Commissioner CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa urged residents to refuse unfounded reports, ensuring the unwavering commitment of the Police Command to maintain law and order. He asked citizens, especially those of Eha Amhu, to maintain the law, work with security authorities, and report actual security concerns through official channels.
