As Governor Chukwuma Soludo selected his nomination form for the upcoming primary election in Anambra state, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) gave their approval. At the APGA National Secretariat in Abuja, Governor Soludo selected his expressions of interest and nomination forms. He has received support from a variety of organizations and individuals for a second term in office.

He was approved for the primary election on April 5, 2025, by the Party's National Working Committee, which was headed by Ezeokenwa Sly. Ejimofor Opara, the National Publicity Secretary of the APGA, claims that the development is a significant turning point in the history of the elections in Anambra State. It means that Governor Soludo will become the first candidate to run for re-election based on his track record of success. He stated, "With over 3,260 delegates set to choose their preferred candidate, the APGA primary election promises to be a historic event.

" The screening process was carried out without commotion or conflict, and the Party's leadership has been praised for its commitment to peaceful and stable politics. “APGA members and supporters are optimistic about the future of the Party and the state as the Party prepares for the primary election. APGA is well-positioned to maintain its positive influence in Anambra State with its emphasis on progressive leadership and solutions-driven governance.
